In order to collaborate on a project or communicate within an EDU account, users must be in the same Soundtrap group. Teachers and students can be part of multiple groups and there is no limit to how many groups they can join. This article will review how teachers can create a Soundtrap group and how to activate a group code.
How to create a new Soundtrap group:
- Go to Groups and click Create group.
- In the pop-up, name your group and click Create.
Congratulations! You've created a new Soundtrap group.
You can now:
a) Invite students to join your new group.
b) Send a group message.
c) Send a direct message to a specific member in the group.
d) Delete the group or Rename the group.
How to activate a Soundtrap group code
When activating the invite link/code, you can choose to activate the invite code for 60 minutes or 30 days.
You’ll also see the status of the code/link in the Group tab.
To protect your students’ safety, make sure the group code is shared privately and only with the users that should be part of your group. Remember to deactivate the group code once your students have successfully joined.
