This guide is for teachers who will be integrating Soundtrap into multiple Canvas courses via course-level integration. If your school has enabled Soundtrap district-wide, you do not need to install at the course level.
In order to integrate Soundtrap into Canvas courses, a set of 3 LTI credentials must be obtained from the EDU owner. If you do not have the LTI credentials or are unsure, please reach out to the owner of the EDU to verify. If you already have the LTI credentials provided by the EDU owner, follow the setup steps below to integrate the keys into your Canvas courses.

Best practices and important notes:
- All teachers and students should log into their Canvas accounts and their Canvas course in order to access Soundtrap.
Note: Users should not go directly to our website. If users go directly to our website, it could cause a duplicate account to be created. - Teachers should instruct their students to click on the Soundtrap app from the Canvas course's left side menu first. This will ensure that a brand new user account for the student is created and logged in.
- The Canvas integration does not automatically create Soundtrap groups for each course. Teachers need to create their own Soundtrap groups.
- Once students have created their Soundtrap-Canvas connected accounts, students can join their teacher's Soundtrap group via the student instructions here.
