Soundtrap only supports EDU Accounts with the District subscription plan to integrate with Clever. In this guide we will look at how to set up automatic rostering to Soundtrap, what the daily sync does and how Teachers and students access their Soundtrap accounts directly from Clever!

Requirements

Before we start, the following requirements needs to be met in order to set up and use this integration:

• You have an active District subscription plan with Soundtrap 
• If you already use Soundtrap in your district, Email Addresses in Clever needs to match the addresses in Soundtrap in order to merge/match the user accounts
• OneRoster is the single method of rostering

Request Soundtrap App

1. Log in to Clever at Clever | Select your school
2. Search for Soundtrap in the App Library
3. Click Request App
4. Configure school and student data to be shared with Soundtrap.
   We require the following data to be shared:

• Roles 
• Classes
• Schools
• Enrollment
• Email address 

Once all above steps are done, Soundtrap will be notified that you've requested to integrate Soundtrap with Clever. 

The daily sync

The sync of data will run once a day at around 6am CET and will:

• Create user accounts 
• Assign roles (from teacher, student and admin roles in Clever)
• Create groups (from Classes in Clever)
• Update group membership (from enrollment in Clever)
• Unseat users (from users that no longer have access to Soundtrap in Clever)

How teacher and students access Soundtrap

When the integration is set up and the first sync has been completed, teachers and students will be able to access Soundtrap from either the Clever Library or directly in the Clever Portal.
