Personal Subscription Plans:
After you purchase a Soundtrap subscription, you're still able to change it by going in your Subscription menu and choosing either of the buttons under the "Change subscription" header.
- If you're upgrading from Sound Starter or Music Production, we will charge the card used to purchase your current subscription. However, please note that this amount takes into account both how much time is left on your current subscription and the price of the new one. Please visit our Pricing Page for more information.
- If you downgrade, from Production & Vocals to Sound Starter, for example, the changes will take effect when the current subscription renews.
- If you're changing from Monthly to Annual and vice versa, the changes will take effect when the current subscription renews.
- If you're canceling your subscription, the subscription will expire the following month/year (depending on your plan) and you will not be charged. You will not be refunded for the time period between cancellation and expiration.
Education Subscription Plans:
- You may upgrade your Classroom or School account, or increase your number of seats, at any time. However, downgrading of plans or decreasing the number of seats will not be possible until your next renewal period.
- If you upgrade to the School plan, you can do so by going to this link if you wish to pay via invoice, and this link if you've paid via credit card. Please note that the amount takes into account both how much time is left on your current subscription and the price of the new one. Please visit our Pricing Page for more information.
- If you upgrade to the District plan, you can do so by going to this link if you've paid via invoice, and this link if you've paid via credit card. There may be a maintenance fee. In addition, certain LMS options may require you to delete your account and the associated work.

- If you plan to downgrade from School or District to Classroom upon renewal, the most important actions you need to take are:
- Clean up your groups since you will be limited to only 2 groups. Please do so by following the instructions in this article: How to Create and Delete a Soundtrap Group
- Remove any LMS connection you currently have connected to your EDU Account. Please do so by contacting support.
