In this guide, you’ll learn how to create individual user accounts. This method is best if you only have one or two users to create accounts for. For instructions on how to bulk import student accounts using a .csv file click here.
Click Add students/Add teachers
Add Students:
- Go to Invite via email
- Enter the student's email address and select a role type (student).
- Enter a temporary Soundtrap password.
- Choose which Group the new user should be added to.
- Click Invite to finish creating the account.
Note: The student will be prompted to change their Soundtrap password the first time they login.
Add Teachers:
- Choose which Group the new user should be added to.
- Enter the teacher's email address
- Enter a temporary Soundtrap password.
- Click Invite to finish creating the account.
Note: The teacher will be prompted to change their Soundtrap password the first time they login. There is no bulk option available in this dialogue window.
How to log into Soundtrap
New users can log into their Soundtrap accounts via the steps below:
- Go to www.soundtrap.com/edu
- Click Login located at the top right corner
- And enter their school email address and temporary Soundtrap password on the right side of the login dialogue.
New users will be prompted to change their Soundtrap password upon the first login attempt.
As an additional option, users can use SSO methods to log into their Soundtrap. After users have changed their Soundtrap password and have logged into their Soundtrap account successfully, they can connect Google SSO or Microsoft SSO via the steps below:
- Log out of your Soundtrap account and return to the login page.
- Click on "Log in with Google" or "Microsoft School Account" and sign in with your Google or Microsoft credentials.
- You'll be prompted for a password in order to connect the SSO option with your Soundtrap account. Enter your Soundtrap password to establish the SSO connection and you can use Google or Microsoft SSO to log into your Soundtrap account.
Note: If users ever need to reset their Soundtrap password at anytime, simply click on the "Forgot password" link.
