Latency Calibration

Latency varies depending on which type of device and operating system you use. In most cases, Mac OS is more likely to experience less latency compared to other operating systems such as Windows or Chromebook.

With The Soundtrap Latency Calibration, you are now be able to calibrate the latency within the studio. After performing a latency calibration, new recordings will now align correctly with the beat.

1. Before recording, click on the instrument icon on your track to open the instrument panel. Click on Calibrate.
   
   
   
   
2. Select Latency Calibration.
   
   
   
   
3. Make sure to check your setup and follow the instruction before starting the calibration.
   
   
   
4. The system calculates the latency and calibrates it automatically. Click Done.
   
   
   

You are now ready to start recording.
