Changing the Pitch
You can change the pitch of a region by:
1. Selecting the region of a track that you want to change the pitch of
2. Then, click "Edit" on the region
3. Select "Change Pitch..."
4. This allows you to change the pitch in semitones.
A semitone equals one key on the piano keyboard - if you go one semitone up you're moving one key to your right, and vice versa. This works both for audio and midi regions.
Transpose
There are a couple of special loops in the loop tab where it says “Transpose” instead of “Pitch” — for example, “Ukulele - Strum” and “Guitar - Acoustic Strum.”
The difference with these loops is that they contain different recordings for each chord.
Think of it like changing chords on a guitar – you’re sometimes using different chord shapes, not just shifting the same chord up and down.
