How to Change Grid Size in Soundtrap

Want to customize your workspace in Soundtrap? Learn how to change the grid size to better suit your music-making needs with this article!

Grids are the vertical lines in the Composition area that allow you to see the bars and beats of your project. Adjusting the grid size lets you expand your beats/time ruler.

Here's how to adjust them:

 Click the gear icon (located near the upper-right corner of the studio)

Size options:

• Automatic 
• 1/1
• 1/2
• 1/2 dotted
• 1/4
• 1/8
• 1/16
• 1/32
• 1/8 triplet
• 1/16

Zoom in/out:

• Use the magnifiers in the lower right corner of the studio. 
• Use Cmd/Ctrl+arrow left/right if you like using keyboard shortcuts.
• Use two fingers to zoom in and out if you have a touchpad.
