Show wave form while recording

Hey there, I was looking for a free DAW for my girlfriend, who wants to start singing on YouTube a little bit and soundtrap was the best one I could find, that doesn't overwhelm you with functions or its interface. But there is one thing missing.

I'm used to Logic Pro and other big DAWs. When I record my voice in these, I can see the wave form while speaking/singing.

But it doesn't show up in soundtrap until I stop recording. While recording it's just a purple track.

Also some kind of microphone input level would be nice. First to check if there is any input at all. Second to make sure that the input level doesn't clip.

With these two features it would be THE DAW for beginners in my opinion.
