Exporting tracks as WAV files - why aren't effects applied?
Exporting tracks from Soundtrap is not a good experience. My use case is that I like creating in Soundtrap, but the collaboration and social features are lacking so I use Bandlab a lot. Noticed when I imported tracks into Bandlab from Soundtrap, they didn't sound right. Then found a really old support article saying that effects aren't applied to exported tracks (so same issue if I wanted to try and work with someone else using any other DAW)
So problems are:
- Each track has to be independently exported (this is a pain)
- Additional effects are not applied to the .WAV files (even though there is a mixing step that appears during the export process)
Is this something that Soundtrap have on their product roadmap to fix? I can live without 1. but 2, is essential if I want to work with others outside of Soundtrap.
This may be the final straw with my use of Soundtrap and will be looking for another DAW to make working with others easier.
Thanks
