Can soundtrap allow unique instrument samples to be imported and played as midi?
This is a big ask, but could Soundtrap implement a feature allowing personally imported instrument samples to be assigned to in-program instruments, like importing a snare sound, and assigning it to a certain key on the in-program midi keyboard? Since Soundtrap doesn't allow VST's to be imported, it can be frustrating to work with a limited range of instruments, and not have to count on manually importing every sound, and copy/pasting it, or making the music in a completely different program, and THEN importing it. Also, when the sample isn't a drum and needs to be played at a certain pitch, you have to manually pitch change it. However, this could massively change that. These personally created instruments could be saved to one's own specific account, and act similarly to how personal loops work, where you create a loop, back it up to your account, and then import it into your project when you want to use it. Also, if this feature were added, an additional thing could be that Soundtrap would automatically pitch imported sounds to new notes on the midi keyboards, similar to how a sampler would. For instance, you could assign your imported note to C. then, if you played D on the keyboard, it would play that sound, but pitched up by 2 steps. this would go all the way up to the highest note, and all the way down to the lowest note. This would not only allow patterns to be made with imported sounds more easily, but it would also allow the user to make full melodies and songs out of the samples, as pitch changing would now be in the picture. Again, this is a pretty big ask, but it would be an absolute game-changer if it were added. Thanks!
