Synth Parameters Automation

Being able to tweak the synth params was one of the most exciting discoveries I made in Soundtrap so far.  So I was pretty bummed when I realized you can't automate them.

This is an essential feature. The current automation features are good a start but compare it to something like Reason where you can create synth progressions that automate through a range of filter frequency, or different LFO timings for example.  The ability to automate oscillator, filter, amp env, and LFO params would allow for some truly limitless sonic possibilities and bring Soundtrap on par with other similar platforms in capabilities.

  This is true. Without parameter automation, the music could sound stale and plain. Introducing automation for all parameters would make the music sound a lot more... lively!

  Even if you could record your tweaks in real time on an automation track, that would be cool.

  We had thought we purchased an Education licence for all students that would give reasonable control over normal audio mixing parameters via automation. I was pretty disappointed, to say the least, to discover that  our licences were restricted to just ONE TRACK with automation facility. Despite my raising this issue in a detailed email, I still kept being asked to clarify what i had clearly explained, ie that we get just one track of automation and were being sent a message to upgrade our licence, ie pay more,  in order to have more than a single track of automation. I now feel that the application version we have purchased does not give us the correct level of access to this fundamental feature.

  About the Synth Parameters Automation, I know it could be add more complexity to the interface, but it's also an essential part of the synth music, loops and mixing, things that I think are the most remarkable about Soundtrap.
