I appreciate your support team, as they are responsive, but it always takes a day to resolve any issue as I believe you are in Europe. It would be super helpful if the answers to some of these questions showed up on the help site so we can get answers quicker. For students that are frustrated because the tech doesn't work, it would be nice if answers to questions such as this one could be shared when fixed so at least we have something to try?

I'm having the same issue and have e-mailed support.

I am in the same situation. I tried to get the mic working, meanwhile on 4 different WIN 10 with Chrome, and always the same message "microphone access denied".

It would be great to get an answer soonest, I also emialed to support today.

    Thank you for your support!

Sorry but why would you not post the solution here as opposed to "check you email"? Clearly many people are having the same issue including myself.

I now have found out, what the reason for the blocking of the microphone might be: initially I connected a Presonus Studio 16 USB to soundtrap with the result, that the mic was blocked, despite all configuration recommendations via Google Chrome. Then I changed the Audio Interface to Presonus Audio Box itwo, and - surprise, surprise - no blocking of the microphone anymore. So it definitely has somethoing to do with the Audio Interface and the relevant driver. I also have a Behringer UM2 and a Behringer UMS404HD which I will test as well. I hope this information helps to identify a solution which is desperately required. At least this is waht I read in the forgoing comments.

the same problem appears with the Behringer UM2 again. Testing result is, that the microphone is blocked, despite following the guide lines. As there seem to be many users having the same issue, I would appreciate if a solution is published in this help forum

Hello, thanks for getting in touch!

This prompt really can be because of many factors such as the make and model of the device you're using or how it's connected (if it's connected directly to your computer, or if you're using an interface). Our first suggestion is to connect your device first before opening Soundtrap in your browser.

Kindly check our support articles as well:

If you're still having trouble saving after trying these, feel free to send our support team an email here and we'll take a closer look :)
