Ability to edit specific instruments in a drum kit present + a few more ideas
It'd be nice to edit the levels of specific instruments in a drum kit. Say you want the kick to be bassier but don't want the snares and other parts of the kit being bassy too, you could just edit them individually. This could be done by putting a gear icon or something next to the instruments which, upon clicking it, would allow you to edit that instrument the same way you would any other one.
My second idea is an easier way to repeat/stutter instruments, particularly like how GarageBand's note repeat works. I personally find it a bit tedious to have to repeatedly click notes into the piano roll to get (example) a hi-hat trill, so it'd be cool if you could just do it from the beat sequencer by clicking on a part of the beat and setting it to repeat twice, three times, etc.
Third idea: Tape stop/start effect. This is something I've been really wanting for a while now. Having the option to add a tape stop effect would be way better than having to put sudden awkward cuts in your beat. It could be an automation or it could work like the fade feature. It might only be able to work on audio files, I don't know, but maybe there's a way it could work on MIDIs too.
And my last two are Dark Mode and Manual Mixing. Dark mode because, while the white is nice, it's not 100% ideal for long sessions or people like myself who sometimes like to work at night. And manual mixing because the auto mixing makes everything so perfect and quiet and, in turn, pretty bland sounding. You pretty much have to turn up bass and stuff all the way just to get it to stand out a little, but sometimes if you do it too much it ends up overpowering everything else in the mix. I'd much rather manually mix it than have to eyeball it and hope it comes out ok.
So yeah I hope some of these are considered and sorry if anything is worded weird, I'm not really the best at explaining stuff.
