What's a decent multi-input device that connects through USB?

While using Soundtrap, I would like to connect multiple mics and a few guitars to a device that interfaces with the computer through a USB cable.  Does anyone have any ideas on a device that would allow this?

  I suggest to look at audio interfaces. 

  I am using a UR22 mk2 by Steinberg. This unit has only 2 audio input so I connect a mic and my guitar. More input is more expensive but you can get a lot. 

  It is connected via USB to my laptop. In Soundtrap you will see your input under a track audio settings.

  Thanks for the response Ludovic! This is exactly what I was wondering about. I've seen some products that allow multiple inputs although most of them merge all the inputs into one track for the output.

  Glad to hear. When looking at audio interfaces you should see numbers for audio inputs and output.

  For instance, what you described seems behave like a 2x1. You will find 2x2, 4x4 ... 20x20
