note length varies??

sometimes I go back to editing the song i was making, then try to change the length/position of the notes, but then it snaps the note(s) to a giant grid. I tried changing grid size, but now I can't snap the notes to it. what happened???????

  Hello! You can either turn the snap to grid feature off and manually move the notes around, or you can adjust the grid size by clicking the cog icon so that the notes will snap into the nearest 1/32 beat for example:
