Can't view student projects

I had my students copy and paste their links to a document in Google Classroom and when I click it says I am denied access.  I can't have them share because I am not on the list of students or whatever--What can I do?

  I click create assignment and nothing happens. And when a student shares a project (because I couldn't create an assignment) I click accept and nothing happens
