Hi, thanks for getting in touch! Ideally, it's best to check for background noises before the actual recording by doing test recordings. Not to worry, although we don't have a specific noise reduction feature yet, you can produce the same effect using an EQ. Simply add the EQ, look for the "noise" frequency by slowly raising the level for each fader until you find where the noise is most present, and then bring this fader down to lower the noise level. Let us know if there's anything else :)

This is really important for podcasters who don't have spaces or expensive equipment. Especially during quarantine we are all working to record things from our homes. Audacity, a free service, has a simple way to take a section of noise and to reduce throughout the episode. It is unfortunate I have download my episode to audacity to do this and then export to mp3 to use on Soundtrap. I have already paid for the year and it would be great to have this feature as soon as possible.

Hi Soundtrap! Love the editing features of your platform BUT adding a noise reduction or noise gate is a MUST, especially for recoding podcasts. For a test, I recorded a conversation with Squadcast and another with Soundtrap. The automatic output of Squadcast is like a sound engineer edited out every single noise, echo, etc. Beautiful!

But the Sountrap recording sounds like I recorded voices behind a waterfall.

Please please please escalate this to your Product Management team that focuses on Podcasters.
