not allowing me to collaborate
i'm trying to invite my friend to collaborate, and it has worked previously, but now it says access denied or sends me this message.
"This person is a bit picky with the invites, not just anyone can send them"
can someone help me fix this?

Hello Gabrielle,
The message "This person is a bit picky with the invites, not just anyone can send them" appears due to the following reasons;
- Either one of you is using an educational account while the other is using a consumer account. Educational accounts usually have a walled garden set up to ensure that they do creative work in a safe environment. This also means they cannot collaborate with users outside of their particular EDU class/group.
- Both of you are using educational accounts but do not belong to the same EDU account/class/group.
If you and your friend/collaborator are both using consumer (non-EDU) accounts, please contact our support team here for assistance.

Same here: I`m a techer and I want to invite my collegue and his class to my choir project. We both have EDU-accounts and we always get the answer "This person is a bit picky with the invites, not just anyone can send them". Is there a way to fix this? Otherwise we can not record our graduate song...

Hello, thanks for reaching out.
To ensure a safe working environment, and as Spart mentioned (above), two things to keep in mind are:
- EDU users can't collaborate with anyone outside of their EDU account.
- To collaborate, you have to belong to the same EDU account/class/group.
As long as these two conditions are met, you'll be able to collab with your colleague and his class flawlessly! Hope this helps and let us know if you have further questions :)

This is not true in my experience also. I have just posted something about this under "feature requests," but I have invited admin and a teacher from within my "Walled Garden" EDU group account and they cannot access student projects at all. -
Hello, I am having the same issue, but from the students side. First of all, I had to create a consumer account just to be able to comment here; I am unable to sign in to interact with support from my EDU account for some reason. As for the issue, each of my students have invited me, their teacher, to collaborate with them through their project; however, when I accept their invites I land on an "access denied" page even though we are under the same EDU group.

Hello, thanks for sending us emails about this!
We've responded to them as soon as we can, and we hope the issues are resolved. If you're still seeing "access denied" errors despite being in the same EDU account/class/group as your collaborator, feel free to reply to our emails so we can take a look at your EDU accounts and provide a resolution that's specific to your EDU settings and permissions.
As for Gabrielle, since our support team hasn't heard from you yet, I've forwarded your request to them! Someone from the team will be in touch shortly. Kindly tell us all the details of your collaboration process on your reply.
If anybody else needs help with this, please email us here so we can investigate immediately and sort this out for you :)
