I have used soundtrap for 6 long years, and it has been a great tool along the way as I learned and grew as a musician. Sure, there were some things I found lacking, like the absence of sidechain compression, and the fact that you could only automate three kinds of effect. But I decided that this was fine, I could make do. When my school got edu accounts, I was ecstatic, this would unlock so much more for me, I felt as though I was let out of a cage, and could now explore the whole world. For about 2 years I used education to learn more about music theory, and I created some of my best work In my opinion. And then recently, there was an update. Part of this update was to remove access to many features from education accounts, essentially making them nearly equivalent to a free account. I considered upgrading to Soundtrap Premium but discovered that because of my status as an education account, I can't even do that. I am essentially back to where I started, and I am no longer content to be so limited anymore. I understand that as a company, making money is a big concern, but I do not think that this is the way to do it. With education accounts so limited, I do not expect people to pay for them, as they could get a very similar experience with a free account. Simply put, this was the final straw, I am exporting my music, and buying FL Studio, do not expect others to put up with this.
