Tab bar should highlight active tab

Since the effects rework, the available effects are available through the tab bar located in the right sidebar. Whenever I open the Effects panel in the bottom sidebar (what an odd name, but that's how it's called), the tab bar also opens with the Effects tab preselected.

When I'm done, I want to close the right sidebar again, which requires me to click on the active tab (as the tab content has no close icon). However, as the active tab looks just like all the inactive tabs and I never ever open the Effects tab from the tab bar, I never find the right tab to click on. I don't want to remember which one the right button to click is, I just want to see it.

Highlighting the active tab would help a lot here. In my opinion, something that calls itself a tab bar should've never been able to pass any QA test without this feature, but that's just my two cents.
