Is their anything to copy something from one project window / tab to the other? possibly when a user does copy something it actually gets saved to the clipboard? this can be done (it would be hard for your developers to do (I have experience trying to set something to a users clipboard...) even in a normal webpage never mind midi data as well as instrument data .. although you can mention a JSON string) and this probably is not the place to ask... but I did.
